5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |

6 | 7 | | memories of Norman Neal Hahn of Pleasanton, who died on |

7 | 8 | | September 3, 2020, at the age of 88; and |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of John and Hazel Hahn, Norman Hahn was born |
---|
9 | 10 | | on January 6, 1932, and he grew up with three siblings, John, Clyde, |
---|
10 | 11 | | and Katherine; and |
---|
11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Hahn served |
---|
12 | 13 | | proudly in the U.S. Army; in civilian life, he began his career |
---|
13 | 14 | | working as a roustabout for Mobile Oil in Talco, and in 1989, he |
---|
14 | 15 | | retired from ExxonMobil after 40 years as an electrical foreman in |
---|
15 | 16 | | Pleasanton; and |
---|
16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hahn shared a loving union with his wife, the |
---|
17 | 18 | | former Betty Jo Belcher, who preceded him in death; he took great |
---|
18 | 19 | | pride in their two daughters, Deborah and Rebecca, and two |
---|
19 | 20 | | grandchildren, Neal and Lauren; and |
---|
20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed |
---|
21 | 22 | | man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
---|
22 | 23 | | tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it |

23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Norman Neal Hahn and |

25 | 26 | | extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it |
