45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
67 memories of Norman Neal Hahn of Pleasanton, who died on
78 September 3, 2020, at the age of 88; and
89 WHEREAS, The son of John and Hazel Hahn, Norman Hahn was born
910 on January 6, 1932, and he grew up with three siblings, John, Clyde,
1011 and Katherine; and
1112 WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Hahn served
1213 proudly in the U.S. Army; in civilian life, he began his career
1314 working as a roustabout for Mobile Oil in Talco, and in 1989, he
1415 retired from ExxonMobil after 40 years as an electrical foreman in
1516 Pleasanton; and
1617 WHEREAS, Mr. Hahn shared a loving union with his wife, the
1718 former Betty Jo Belcher, who preceded him in death; he took great
1819 pride in their two daughters, Deborah and Rebecca, and two
1920 grandchildren, Neal and Lauren; and
2021 WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed
2122 man's love and friendship will always remember him with great
2223 tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2425 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Norman Neal Hahn and
2526 extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it
2627 further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2930 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Norman
3031 Hahn.
