| 11 | 12 | | trained in their area of expertise, these gifted professionals use |

| 12 | 13 | | academic and psychological tests to isolate key factors that could |

| 13 | 14 | | enhance each student's performance in the classroom, enabling |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | schools to better serve the educational needs of children and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | youth; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, By conducting materials research and developing and |

| 17 | 18 | | recommending teaching strategies, educational diagnosticians help |

| 18 | 19 | | provide the next generation of Texans with the basic skills |

| 19 | 20 | | necessary for lifelong learning and excellence; for the past year, |

| 20 | 21 | | educators in Texas have had to respond to the unusual challenges |

| 21 | 22 | | that the COVID-19 pandemic has posed to schools and teachers, and |

| 22 | 23 | | during this difficult time, the efforts of educational |

| 23 | 24 | | diagnosticians have remained crucial to the success of some of our |

| 24 | 25 | | most vulnerable schoolchildren; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, At every stage of education, the work of educational |

| 26 | 27 | | diagnosticians has greatly benefited the students under their care |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | and earned them the respect and admiration of their fellow |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | educators, and they may indeed take great pride in the important |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | part they play in ensuring a brighter future for all young Texans; |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby recognize March 1 through 5, 2021, as |
