| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the |

| 6 | 7 | | passing of Jerry Jack Moore of Kerrville on April 21, 2020, at the |

| 7 | 8 | | age of 83; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Moore was born to John and Ouida Moore on |

| 9 | 10 | | January 25, 1937, in Dallas, and he grew up with three siblings, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | June, Olga, and Hoot; he served in the U.S. Army after completing |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | high school in Arlington, and he later graduated with honors from |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Trinity University; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A former All-American football player, Mr. Moore |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | used his knowledge and skills to cultivate subsequent generations |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | of athletes during his many years as a coach in the Center Point |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Independent School District; he spent his later years working on |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | his horse ranch in the Hill Country, and he served as director of |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | the Texas Thoroughbred Association; he was also a sportscaster and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | host for The Ranch radio station in Kerrville; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Valuing his family above all else, Mr. Moore enjoyed |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | a rewarding marriage with his wife, Linda, and he took great pride |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | in his children, Amanda and Mark; as the years passed, he was |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | further blessed with four beloved grandchildren, Madeleine, |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Alissa, Brooke, and Bailey; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 29 | 30 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jerry Jack Moore and |
