 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Charles Hagood is retiring from First State Bank in
 Junction in January 2021, drawing to a close a notable career in
 financial services that has spanned more than four decades; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Hagood began his banking career on January 2,
 1979, when he joined First State Bank as a drive-through teller; he
 moved into the lending department in 1980, and by 1986, he had
 become the bank's president; after nine years in that position, he
 left to pursue another business opportunity, but he returned to
 First State as a lender in 2004; and
 WHEREAS, Currently the bank's senior vice president,
 Mr. Hagood has represented the institution on the boards of many
 community organizations over the years; following retirement, he
 will continue to serve the bank as a member of the board of
 directors; and
 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Hagood has enjoyed the
 love and support of his wife, Teena, his children, Jay and Jodi, and
 his grandchildren, Dilan, Kaitlin, Kylee, Danielle, Sara, and Maci;
 and
 WHEREAS, Charles Hagood's dedication, expertise, and
 commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the mission of
 First State Bank and earned him the respect and admiration of his
 colleagues, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well
 spent as he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Charles Hagood on his retirement
 from First State Bank and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
 future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Hagood as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
