45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Gene Huffaker concluded his tenure as constable for
67 Precinct 4 in Kerr County on December 31, 2020, drawing to a close a
78 notable career in public service that spanned more than four
89 decades; and
910 WHEREAS, Appointed in 2011, this esteemed law enforcement
1011 professional was chosen to complete the unexpired term of former
1112 Constable Robert Terrill by the Kerr County Commissioners Court; he
1213 fulfilled his duties with distinction, earning the respect and
1314 admiration of his constituents, who subsequently reelected him two
1415 times; and
1516 WHEREAS, Constable Huffaker brought to his post a wealth of
1617 experience gained while working as a peace officer in the Kerr
1718 County Sheriff's Office, the Kerrville Police Department, and the
1819 Uvalde County Sheriff's Office; and
1920 WHEREAS, Gene Huffaker's dedication, professionalism, and
2021 commitment to public safety have greatly benefited the citizens of
2122 Kerr County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well
2223 spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
2324 therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Gene Huffaker on retiring as the
2627 constable for Precinct 4 in Kerr County and extend to him sincere
2728 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for Constable Huffaker as an expression of high regard by
3031 the Texas House of Representatives.
