| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 7 | | of Enrique J. Rositas Jr., who passed away on July 11, 2020, at the |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Ramona Rositas and Enrique Rositas Sr., |

| 9 | 10 | | Enrique Rositas grew up with two brothers, Rafael and Raul, and a |

| 10 | 11 | | sister, Maribel; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Rositas |

| 12 | 13 | | served in the U.S. Air Force from 1985 to 1997; he went on to join |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the U.S. Border Patrol, and he worked as a patrol agent in McAllen |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | for 23 years; a man of deep religious conviction, he was a deacon of |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | First Baptist Church, where he was also active with the Gideons and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | the church's children's department; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Rositas enjoyed the love |

| 18 | 19 | | and support of his wife, Monica, with whom he shared a rewarding |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | marriage that spanned 16 years; he was the devoted father of two |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | children, Monica and Alan; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Enrique Rositas lived a rich and purposeful life |

| 22 | 23 | | dedicated to his family, his faith, and his country, and though he |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | will be greatly missed, he leaves behind a record of service that |

| 24 | 25 | | his loved ones can remember with pride; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Enrique J. Rositas Jr. |

| 27 | 28 | | and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family and to |

| 28 | 29 | | his many friends; and, be it further |
