| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The COVID-19 pandemic has required health care |

| 7 | 8 | | the physicians, nurses, administrators, and other staff members at |

| 8 | 9 | | DHR Health Hospital in Edinburg have distinguished themselves by |

| 9 | 10 | | providing Hidalgo County residents with the highest standards of |

| 10 | 11 | | care; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, In meeting this global health crisis, hospital |

| 12 | 13 | | workers have been forced to adapt to rapidly changing |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | circumstances; as the scale of the pandemic has grown at an alarming |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | pace, medical professionals have attended to increasingly crowded |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | emergency rooms, hospital wards, and intensive care units, where |

| 16 | 17 | | they have continued to heroically perform their duties under |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | difficult and extremely stressful conditions; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The dedicated staff members at DHR Health Hospital |

| 19 | 20 | | have met these challenges with tremendous resolve; this includes |

| 20 | 21 | | not only physicians, nurses, and other frontline personnel, but |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | also those in leadership positions, who have developed and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | implemented new strategies for navigating the ongoing crisis; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Through their exemplary work, the accomplished |

| 24 | 25 | | professionals at DHR Health Hospital have brought hope to their |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | community in this time of uncertainty, and in so doing, they have |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | earned the heartfelt gratitude of the Texans they serve; now, |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 29 | 30 | | Legislature hereby honor the physicians, nurses, administrators, |

| 31 | 32 | | efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and commend them on a job well |
