H.R. No. 403 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of David Wilson Gray of Dallas, who passed away on December 9, 2020; and WHEREAS, The son of Edward Gray and Linda Rogers, David Gray was born in Dallas in 1969; after graduating from W. T. White High School in 1987, he studied business at The University of Texas at Austin, and over the course of his working life, he established several businesses, including a direct sales enterprise, an automobile repair shop, a home remodeling business, and a childcare service; in 2018, he cofounded Dallas Daycare Academy; and WHEREAS, Mr. Gray was an active man who delighted in automobile racing, skiing, flying, motorcycling, and playing soccer; he was also a valued member of Destiny Heights Church in Carrollton; and WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Gray enjoyed the love and support of his wife, Patti, and he took great pride in his two daughters, Camila and Marisa; and WHEREAS, David Gray embraced life to the fullest, and he will forever remain a vibrant presence for those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of David Wilson Gray and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Marlitt Patricia Barrios Gray; to his children, Camila Jean Gray and Marisa Marlitt Gray; to his mother, Linda Jean Glover Rogers, and her husband, Carroll; to his father, Edward Wilson Gray, and his wife, Gerry; to his brother, Brian Richard Gray; to his stepbrother, Matthew Morgan Rogers, and his stepsister, Andrea Jean Rogers Grice; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of David Wilson Gray.
