| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Jennifer |

| 6 | 7 | | Lee Mixon of Woodville, who died on March 12, 2021, at the age |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Jennifer Mixon was born in Palestine on May 5, 1970, |

| 9 | 10 | | to Jerry and Darlene Ives, and she grew up in Elkhart with a |

| 10 | 11 | | brother, Jason; after graduating from Elkhart High School in 1988, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | she earned her bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | University in 1993; she enjoyed a successful career as a teacher and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | coach in the Wells, Cushing, Corrigan-Camden, and Woodville |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Independent School Districts, and she was a longtime member of the |

| 15 | 16 | | Texas Girls Coaches Association; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, For 26 years, Ms. Mixon shared a rewarding marriage |

| 17 | 18 | | with her husband, Shawn, and she was the proud mother of two |

| 18 | 19 | | daughters, Shelby and Emily; she delighted in the time she spent |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | with her family, her many friends, and the young people she was |

| 20 | 21 | | privileged to coach; a woman of strong faith, she attended Dogwood |

| 21 | 22 | | Hills Baptist Church; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Those who were fortunate enough to have known |

| 23 | 24 | | Jennifer Mixon will always remember the way she touched their |

| 24 | 25 | | lives, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; |
