5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the death |

6 | 7 | | of James Carl Ducker of Haltom City on March 13, 2021, at the age of |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, James Ducker was born in Fort Worth on April 29, |
---|
9 | 10 | | 1958, and he grew up with the companionship of his sister, Vickie, |
---|
10 | 11 | | and his brother, Myron; following his graduation from Arlington |
---|
11 | 12 | | High School, he went on to earn several college degrees, including |
---|
12 | 13 | | two master's degrees from Dallas Baptist University; and |
---|
13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In 1979, Mr. Ducker was hired as a tool and die maker |
---|
14 | 15 | | at Vought Aircraft, where he enjoyed a rewarding career that |
---|
15 | 16 | | spanned more than four decades; during his tenure, he held a variety |
---|
16 | 17 | | of leadership positions, including shop steward and committeeman; |
---|
17 | 18 | | he was also a valued member of the United Aerospace Workers union, |
---|
18 | 19 | | and he served as president of the UAW Local 848 chapter in Grand |
---|
19 | 20 | | Prairie; and |
---|
20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ducker benefited from the |
---|
21 | 22 | | love and support of his wife, Diane, and he took great pride in his |
---|
22 | 23 | | children, Benjamin, Matthew, and Haley, and stepchildren, James and |
---|
23 | 24 | | Rachel; with the passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his |
---|
24 | 25 | | family grow to include a grandson, Wyatt; a lifelong sports |
---|
25 | 26 | | enthusiast, he was involved with several championship softball |
---|
26 | 27 | | teams as a player, coach, and umpire, and he served many seasons as |
---|
27 | 28 | | a coach for Little League Baseball; and |
---|
28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Although James Ducker is deeply missed, he has left |
---|
29 | 30 | | his loved ones with a wealth of memories that they will forever |
---|
30 | 31 | | treasure; now, therefore, be it |

31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Carl Ducker and |

33 | 34 | | extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it |
