45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the death
67 of James Carl Ducker of Haltom City on March 13, 2021, at the age of
78 62; and
89 WHEREAS, James Ducker was born in Fort Worth on April 29,
910 1958, and he grew up with the companionship of his sister, Vickie,
1011 and his brother, Myron; following his graduation from Arlington
1112 High School, he went on to earn several college degrees, including
1213 two master's degrees from Dallas Baptist University; and
1314 WHEREAS, In 1979, Mr. Ducker was hired as a tool and die maker
1415 at Vought Aircraft, where he enjoyed a rewarding career that
1516 spanned more than four decades; during his tenure, he held a variety
1617 of leadership positions, including shop steward and committeeman;
1718 he was also a valued member of the United Aerospace Workers union,
1819 and he served as president of the UAW Local 848 chapter in Grand
1920 Prairie; and
2021 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ducker benefited from the
2122 love and support of his wife, Diane, and he took great pride in his
2223 children, Benjamin, Matthew, and Haley, and stepchildren, James and
2324 Rachel; with the passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his
2425 family grow to include a grandson, Wyatt; a lifelong sports
2526 enthusiast, he was involved with several championship softball
2627 teams as a player, coach, and umpire, and he served many seasons as
2728 a coach for Little League Baseball; and
2829 WHEREAS, Although James Ducker is deeply missed, he has left
2930 his loved ones with a wealth of memories that they will forever
3031 treasure; now, therefore, be it
3132 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3233 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Carl Ducker and
3334 extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it
3435 further
3536 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3637 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
3738 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James
3839 Ducker.
