| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Sara Ojeda and Porfirio Moreno Sr., |

| 9 | 10 | | Porfirio Moreno was born on March 24, 1936, in the town of Villa de |

| 10 | 11 | | la Paz, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and he grew up with the |

| 11 | 12 | | companionship of 13 siblings, Aurora, Herlinda, Maria, Asencion, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Maria, Raul, Armando, Elias, Belen, Rafael, Arturo, Johnny, and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Susana; in 1967, he married the love of his life, the former Olga |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Mendoza, and the couple shared a rewarding union that spanned 33 |

| 15 | 16 | | years until her passing in 2001; Mr. Moreno took great pride in his |

| 16 | 17 | | four children, Linda, Yvonne, Porfirio, and Lisa, and he had the |

| 17 | 18 | | pleasure of seeing his family grow to include 11 grandchildren and 4 |

| 18 | 19 | | great-grandchildren; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, At the age of 54, Mr. Moreno founded Turista |

| 20 | 21 | | Propane, which has operated in Mission for three decades; in all his |

| 21 | 22 | | endeavors, he was sustained by his strong Catholic faith; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Although Porfirio Moreno is deeply missed, memories |

| 23 | 24 | | of his selflessness and generosity remain to comfort and inspire |

| 24 | 25 | | those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
