| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Named Best New Artist, Megan Thee Stallion is the |

| 10 | 10 | | first female artist accorded that prestigious title in more than |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | two decades; in addition, she took home trophies in both the Best |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories for her "Savage" remix |

| 13 | 13 | | featuring Beyoncé; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Megan also earned plaudits for her electric |

| 15 | 15 | | performances on the Grammy broadcast; a New York Times critic wrote |

| 16 | 16 | | "Megan Thee Stallion owned the stage" and enthused about both her |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A native of San Antonio, Megan is the daughter of a |
