8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Helen Frieda Phillip Wood and John |

9 | 10 | | Purifoy Wood, the former Frieda Wood was born in Dallas on December |

10 | 11 | | 20, 1934; she grew up with a sister, Marguerite Ann, and graduated |

11 | 12 | | from Forest Avenue High School; embarking on a career as a |

12 | 13 | | secretary, she worked at banks in downtown Dallas before joining |
---|
13 | 14 | | the staff of Ling-Temco-Vought in Garland; she was employed there |
---|
14 | 15 | | for 36 years, through its transition to E-Systems and its |
---|
15 | 16 | | acquisition by Raytheon Technologies, and retired in 1998; and |

16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, She married Johnny Raggio in 1954, and they became |

17 | 18 | | the parents of two children, Suzanne and Glen; in 1982, she wed |

18 | 19 | | James Nicks, and they shared a fulfilling relationship until his |

19 | 20 | | passing in 2018; over the years, her family grew to include a |

20 | 21 | | stepdaughter, Cynthia, four grandchildren, Elissa, Luke, |

21 | 22 | | Christina, and Kevin, and two great-granddaughters, Olivia and |

22 | 23 | | Abigail; and |

23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Beloved by all who were privileged to know her, |

24 | 25 | | Frieda Nicks is greatly missed, but she has left her family and |

25 | 26 | | friends with a wealth of memories that they will forever treasure; |
