45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The members of the Eastside Civic Association are
67 making a positive difference in the local community by representing
78 the interests of their neighborhood; and
89 WHEREAS, Located in East El Paso, the Eastside Civic
910 Association empowers and engages area residents through advocacy
1011 and the coordination of projects and activities; the group strives
1112 to build strong relationships among neighbors, and it serves as a
1213 unified voice in city government; and
1314 WHEREAS, As part of the greater El Paso community, the
1415 Eastside Civic Association contributes to the vibrancy and growth
1516 of a forward-looking city that is committed to the safety and
1617 beautification of neighborhoods and to providing residents with
1718 outstanding recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities;
1819 and
1920 WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure
2021 on the vision and dedication of concerned citizens, and through
2122 their endeavors, the members of the Eastside Civic Association are
2223 helping to improve the quality of life in East El Paso and the
2324 surrounding area; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby commend the Eastside Civic Association for its
2627 service to the El Paso community and extend to its members sincere
2728 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
3031 Texas House of Representatives.
