45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The members of the Sunrise Civic Group are making a
67 positive difference in the local community by representing the
78 interests of their neighborhood; and
89 WHEREAS, Located in Central El Paso, the Sunrise Civic Group
910 empowers and engages area residents through advocacy and the
1011 coordination of projects and activities; the group strives to build
1112 strong relationships among neighbors, and it serves as a unified
1213 voice in city government; and
1314 WHEREAS, As part of the greater El Paso community, the
1415 Sunrise Civic Group contributes to the vibrancy and growth of a
1516 forward-looking city that is committed to the safety and
1617 beautification of neighborhoods and to providing residents with
1718 outstanding recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities;
1819 and
1920 WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure
2021 on the vision and dedication of concerned citizens, and through
2122 their endeavors, the members of the Sunrise Civic Group are helping
2223 to improve the quality of life in Central El Paso and the
2324 surrounding area; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby commend the Sunrise Civic Group for its service
2627 to the El Paso community and extend to its members sincere best
2728 wishes for the future; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
3031 Texas House of Representatives.
