| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, On November 16, 2020, Addie Heyliger was elected as |

| 6 | 7 | | president of the Fort Bend Independent School District Board of |

| 7 | 8 | | Trustees; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A valued resident of Fort Bend County for 16 years, |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Ms. Heyliger was first elected to the school board in 2015, and she |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | was reelected in 2018; throughout her distinguished tenure, she has |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | helped the board with its mission to foster the development of its |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | students and improve the school district; in addition, she is the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | manager of the Portfolio, Release and Integration Office at |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | CenterPoint Energy and an adjunct professor at Houston Community |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | College; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Heyliger earned a bachelor's degree in computer |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | science from North Carolina A&T State University, and she holds a |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | master's degree in business administration from Texas Woman's |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | University; furthermore, she is a certified Project Management |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Professional; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Among her many accolades, Ms. Heyliger has received |

| 22 | 23 | | the IBM President's Top Producer Award, and she was named the |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | Methodist Hospital IT Professional of the Year; she has given |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | generously of her time and talents to a host of organizations, |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | including the United Way Young Leaders Society, Alpha Kappa Alpha |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Sorority, The Links Incorporated, and the Women's Energy Network, |

| 27 | 28 | | where she serves as the partnership co-chair; a woman of deep faith, |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | she is a devoted member of The Fort Bend Church; and |

| 29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Addie Heyliger's dedication, professionalism, and |

| 30 | 31 | | expertise have greatly benefited the students of Fort Bend ISD and |

| 31 | 32 | | earned her the respect and admiration of her peers, and she may |

| 32 | 33 | | indeed reflect with pride on her many achievements as she takes on |

| 33 | 34 | | the challenges and opportunities of her new position; now, |
