45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, A life dedicated to serving his state and nation
67 drew to a close with the death of Bobby Glen Stout of Throckmorton,
78 who passed away on November 30, 2019, at the age of 62; and
89 WHEREAS, Bobby Stout was born to Glen Stout and Annette
910 Franklin on January 3, 1957, and he grew up in Throckmorton with two
1011 sisters, Lynna and Cindy; after graduating from Throckmorton High
1112 School in 1975, he attended Cisco Junior College and worked several
1213 jobs before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1978; out of his class of
1314 more than 450, he received the Navy League Outstanding Recruit
1415 Award, and he did much of his service overseas; and
1516 WHEREAS, Following his four years in the navy, Mr. Stout
1617 worked briefly in the petroleum business before entering the Texas
1718 Game Warden Academy in 1984; over the course of his 15-year career
1819 as a state game warden, he became the youngest warden promoted to
1920 the rank of captain at the time, and he served two terms as
2021 president of Northwest Texas Field and Stream, a conservation club
2122 that helped establish the Texas Game Warden Association; and
2223 WHEREAS, Mr. Stout was the proud father of two children,
2324 Katie and Harley, and he delighted in the time they spent together,
2425 hiking at Big Bend or in the Rocky Mountains; he also enjoyed
2526 fishing with friends, working in the yard, playing 42 with his
2627 family, and reading the Western novels of Louis L'Amour; and
2728 WHEREAS, Although he is deeply missed, those who were
2829 privileged to share in Bobby Stout's love and friendship will
2930 always remember him with great admiration and affection; now,
3031 therefore, be it
3132 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3233 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bobby Glen Stout and
3334 extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his
3435 daughter, Katie Stout; to his son, Harley Glen Stout; to his mother,
3536 Annette Franklin, and her husband, Richard; to his sisters, Lynna
3637 Ray and her husband, Charles, and Cindy Bentch and her husband, Ron;
3738 to his uncle, Harley Oldham, and his aunt, Bobbie Bailey; and to his
3839 many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
3940 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4041 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
4142 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bobby
4243 Stout.
