| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A life dedicated to serving his state and nation |

| 6 | 7 | | drew to a close with the death of Bobby Glen Stout of Throckmorton, |

| 7 | 8 | | who passed away on November 30, 2019, at the age of 62; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Stout was born to Glen Stout and Annette |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Franklin on January 3, 1957, and he grew up in Throckmorton with two |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | sisters, Lynna and Cindy; after graduating from Throckmorton High |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | School in 1975, he attended Cisco Junior College and worked several |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | jobs before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1978; out of his class of |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | more than 450, he received the Navy League Outstanding Recruit |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Award, and he did much of his service overseas; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Following his four years in the navy, Mr. Stout |

| 16 | 17 | | worked briefly in the petroleum business before entering the Texas |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Game Warden Academy in 1984; over the course of his 15-year career |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | as a state game warden, he became the youngest warden promoted to |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | the rank of captain at the time, and he served two terms as |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | president of Northwest Texas Field and Stream, a conservation club |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | that helped establish the Texas Game Warden Association; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Stout was the proud father of two children, |

| 23 | 24 | | Katie and Harley, and he delighted in the time they spent together, |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | hiking at Big Bend or in the Rocky Mountains; he also enjoyed |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | fishing with friends, working in the yard, playing 42 with his |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | family, and reading the Western novels of Louis L'Amour; and |

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Although he is deeply missed, those who were |

| 28 | 29 | | privileged to share in Bobby Stout's love and friendship will |

| 29 | 30 | | always remember him with great admiration and affection; now, |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bobby Glen Stout and |
