R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, In February 2021, citizens across Texas experienced
the devastating effects of Winter Storm Uri, and in House District
26, Alings Chinese Bistro played an important role in helping the
community respond to this unprecedented emergency; and
WHEREAS, The owners of the restaurant recognized that
residents of senior living centers would experience particular
hardship as a result of power outages and problems with the water
supply; with the assistance of the Alings staff, the owners
generously provided hot meals for those residents; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional initiative and
perseverance during a time of crisis, the owners and staff of Alings
Chinese Bistro dedicated time and resources to help those in need,
and they are indeed deserving of special recognition for their
efforts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Alings Chinese Bistro for its outstanding
service during Winter Storm Uri and commend the owners and staff on
a job well done; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
