| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, In February 2021, citizens across Texas experienced |

| 6 | 7 | | the devastating effects of Winter Storm Uri, and in House District |

| 7 | 8 | | 26, Alings Chinese Bistro played an important role in helping the |

| 8 | 9 | | community respond to this unprecedented emergency; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The owners of the restaurant recognized that |

| 10 | 11 | | residents of senior living centers would experience particular |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | hardship as a result of power outages and problems with the water |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | supply; with the assistance of the Alings staff, the owners |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | generously provided hot meals for those residents; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional initiative and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | perseverance during a time of crisis, the owners and staff of Alings |

| 16 | 17 | | Chinese Bistro dedicated time and resources to help those in need, |

| 17 | 18 | | and they are indeed deserving of special recognition for their |

| 18 | 19 | | efforts; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 20 | 21 | | Legislature hereby honor Alings Chinese Bistro for its outstanding |

| 21 | 22 | | service during Winter Storm Uri and commend the owners and staff on |

| 22 | 23 | | a job well done; and, be it further |
