45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, In February 2021, citizens across Texas experienced
67 the devastating effects of Winter Storm Uri, and in House
78 District 26, the staff of CraftWorx played an important role in
89 helping the community respond to this unprecedented emergency; and
910 WHEREAS, Led by founder Alexis Geissler, CraftWorx is a
1011 family-owned craft studio and maker space in Richmond; the business
1112 served as a place of warmth and shelter during the storm, opening
1213 its doors to local residents seeking refuge from the winter
1314 weather; and
1415 WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional initiative and
1516 perseverance during a time of crisis, the staff of CraftWorx
1617 dedicated time and resources to help those in need, and they are
1718 indeed deserving of special recognition for their efforts; now,
1819 therefore, be it
1920 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2021 Legislature hereby honor Alexis Geissler and the staff of CraftWorx
2122 for their outstanding service during Winter Storm Uri and commend
2223 them on a job well done; and, be it further
2324 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2425 prepared for CraftWorx as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2526 House of Representatives.
