| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |

| 6 | 7 | | memories of Jerry Don Noles of McGregor, who died on April 30, 2020, |

| 7 | 8 | | at the age of 81; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Noles was born in Dallas on July 4, 1938, to |

| 9 | 10 | | Willis and May Ruth Noles, and he grew up near Roby with a brother, |

| 10 | 11 | | Billy; after graduating from Rotan High School in 1956, he entered |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | law enforcement as an officer with the Brownfield Police |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Department; in 1962, he attended the Texas Game Warden Training |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Academy at Texas A&M University and embarked on a career with the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | State of Texas that spanned 23 years until his retirement; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Noles was a member of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | the Gatesville Riding Club, the Coryell County 4-H Club, and the Top |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Hand Cowboy Church in Valley Mills, as well as a 32nd degree Mason; |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Noles shared a rewarding marriage with his wife, |

| 20 | 21 | | Patsy, that spanned 35 years; he took great pride in his daughters, |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Debra, Brenda, and Beverly, and his stepdaughter, Tammy, and he was |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | further blessed with seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | and two great-great-grandchildren; he especially delighted in the |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | time he spent with his family at their cabin in Laguna Park, |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | boating, fishing, and telling stories; and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather and a |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | respected law enforcement professional, Jerry Noles lived a caring |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | and purposeful life, and he will forever be remembered with deep |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | affection by all who held him close to their hearts; now, therefore, |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
