45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
67 memories of Jerry Don Noles of McGregor, who died on April 30, 2020,
78 at the age of 81; and
89 WHEREAS, Jerry Noles was born in Dallas on July 4, 1938, to
910 Willis and May Ruth Noles, and he grew up near Roby with a brother,
1011 Billy; after graduating from Rotan High School in 1956, he entered
1112 law enforcement as an officer with the Brownfield Police
1213 Department; in 1962, he attended the Texas Game Warden Training
1314 Academy at Texas A&M University and embarked on a career with the
1415 State of Texas that spanned 23 years until his retirement; and
1516 WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Noles was a member of
1617 the Gatesville Riding Club, the Coryell County 4-H Club, and the Top
1718 Hand Cowboy Church in Valley Mills, as well as a 32nd degree Mason;
1819 and
1920 WHEREAS, Mr. Noles shared a rewarding marriage with his wife,
2021 Patsy, that spanned 35 years; he took great pride in his daughters,
2122 Debra, Brenda, and Beverly, and his stepdaughter, Tammy, and he was
2223 further blessed with seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,
2324 and two great-great-grandchildren; he especially delighted in the
2425 time he spent with his family at their cabin in Laguna Park,
2526 boating, fishing, and telling stories; and
2627 WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather and a
2728 respected law enforcement professional, Jerry Noles lived a caring
2829 and purposeful life, and he will forever be remembered with deep
2930 affection by all who held him close to their hearts; now, therefore,
3031 be it
3132 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3233 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jerry Don Noles and
3334 extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it
3435 further
3536 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3637 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
3738 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jerry Don
3839 Noles.
