| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, In February 2021, citizens across Texas experienced |

| 6 | 7 | | the devastating effects of Winter Storm Uri, and in House District |

| 7 | 8 | | 26, the owners and staff of Gyro Hut played an important role in |

| 8 | 9 | | helping the community respond to this unprecedented emergency; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The storm resulted in power and water outages that |

| 10 | 11 | | impacted senior living centers, leaving elderly citizens in dire |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | circumstances as these facilities struggled to provide them with |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | adequate food and water; after learning of the situation, Gyro |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Hut's staff pitched in and delivered hot meals to local senior care |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | centers, an act that not only provided nutrition to residents but |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | also significantly helped lift the spirits of Texans who were |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | suffering; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional initiative and |

| 18 | 19 | | perseverance during a time of crisis, the owners and staff of Gyro |

| 19 | 20 | | Hut dedicated time and resources to help those in need, and they are |

| 20 | 21 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for their efforts; now, |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby honor Gyro Hut for its outstanding service |
