| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ava Moreno has been named the 2020-2021 Teacher of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |

| 9 | 10 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |

| 10 | 11 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |

| 11 | 12 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Drawing on 42 years of experience in education, |

| 13 | 14 | | Mrs. Moreno currently teaches English language arts, reading, and |

| 14 | 15 | | social studies to second-grade students at Benbrook Elementary; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ava Moreno exemplifies the passion, determination, |

| 16 | 17 | | and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, |

| 17 | 18 | | and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her |

| 18 | 19 | | profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 20 | 21 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ava Moreno on her selection as the |
