| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, This prestigious designation was created by the 86th |

| 10 | 11 | | Texas Legislature to honor campuses that have demonstrated a |

| 11 | 12 | | commitment to addressing the needs of military-connected students |

| 12 | 13 | | and their families; ably led by principal Mauro Guerrero, Socorro |

| 13 | 14 | | Middle School qualified for the recognition by meeting several |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | crucial requirements, which include designating a campus-based |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | military liaison, establishing a campus transition program, and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | maintaining an easily accessible website with information specific |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | to military-connected students; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to the |

| 19 | 20 | | men and women who have answered our nation's call to duty, and |

| 20 | 21 | | Socorro Middle School is indeed deserving of recognition for its |

| 21 | 22 | | dedication to supporting military families; now, therefore, be it |
