| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to |

| 7 | 8 | | Fitzpatrick on August 29, 2020, at the age of 63; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Pat Fitzpatrick was born in Fort Worth on December |

| 9 | 10 | | 21, 1956, and he grew up with the companionship of his sister, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Sandra; after graduating from high school in Irving, he went on to |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | earn a bachelor's degree in computer science from Texas A&M |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | University in 1979; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Fitzpatrick worked at Micro Mic's and A1 |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Communications before becoming a paramedic in 1994; a year later, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | he began volunteering with Potter County Fire & Rescue, and in 1999 |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | he became a full-time firefighter with the department; a leader in |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | his profession, he taught at the Amarillo College Regional Fire |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Academy, and he worked with Amarillo Emergency Services for more |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | than two decades; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, he benefited from the love and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | support of his wife, Marsha, and he took great pride in his |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | daughter, Kim; through the years, he had the pleasure of seeing his |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | family grow to include two granddaughters, Lisa and Ali, and a |

| 24 | 25 | | great-granddaughter, Taylor; in his leisure time, he enjoyed |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | reading, bowling, and watching Professional Bull Riders; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, A devoted family man and a dedicated public servant, |

| 27 | 28 | | Pat Fitzpatrick gave freely of his time and expertise to better his |

| 28 | 29 | | community, and he leaves behind a record of service that his loved |

| 29 | 30 | | ones can remember with pride; now, therefore, be it |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 31 | 32 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Pat Fitzpatrick and |
