| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Among those who have gone above and beyond to |

| 15 | 16 | | Thomas McGregor, Chris Kuleza, Eric Parikakis, Chris Horrigan, Ross |

| 16 | 17 | | Schuman, Pia Lara, Eric Robertson, DJ Seeger, Konner Earnest, Celia |

| 17 | 18 | | Ault, John Baucum, and Lauren Ethridge, who have contributed untold |

| 18 | 19 | | hours to communicating the organization's priorities both under the |

| 19 | 20 | | dome and across the state; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, During the committee's weekly meetings, members |

| 21 | 22 | | vote on whether to support bills and other pieces of legislation, |

| 22 | 23 | | and they then advocate for selected bills with various legislative |

| 23 | 24 | | offices; over the course of this session, the committee has |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | promoted more than 100 bills, including those in the Smarter |

| 25 | 26 | | Justice, Safer Texas package; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, The young men and women of TYRF's policy committee |

| 27 | 28 | | have immersed themselves in the political debate and discourse |

| 28 | 29 | | taking place during the 87th Legislative Session that will |

| 29 | 30 | | determine the future of our state and communities, and in so doing, |
|---|
