| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1977, the Superior Teaching |

| 9 | 10 | | Achievement in Richardson Schools (STARS) award recognizes |

| 10 | 11 | | exceptionally creative and innovative educators who have worked in |

| 11 | 12 | | Richardson ISD for at least two years; honorees are celebrated |

| 12 | 13 | | throughout the year and are given a $1,000 monetary prize; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, One of 10 individuals selected to receive this |

| 14 | 15 | | notable accolade for 2021, Ms. Starnes currently teaches fourth |

| 15 | 16 | | grade at Greenwood Hills Elementary School; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Cassie Starnes exemplifies the passion, |

| 17 | 18 | | determination, and ingenuity that are the hallmarks of our best |

| 18 | 19 | | teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in |

| 19 | 20 | | her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Cassie Starnes on being named a |

| 23 | 24 | | extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her |
