| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lillibridge is joining the elite ranks of the |

| 7 | 8 | | graduation as a member of the 64th Texas Game Warden and State Park |

| 8 | 9 | | Police Officer Cadet Class on June 2, 2021; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Texas State Park Police are |

| 10 | 11 | | tasked with maintaining the overall safety and security of state |

| 11 | 12 | | parks, including safeguarding visitors and resources; these |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | skilled law enforcement professionals enforce all TPWD codes, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | rules, and regulations and the Texas Penal Code, and their |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | responsibilities also include conducting search and rescue and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | emergency management operations as well as public outreach |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | programs; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The TPWD Game Warden Training Center accepts only a |

| 18 | 19 | | fraction of the hundreds of people who apply for admission to its |

| 19 | 20 | | rigorous 30-week training course; those individuals who complete |

| 20 | 21 | | the program serve the people of Texas as commissioned peace |

| 21 | 22 | | officers; following his graduation, Officer Lillibridge will be |

| 22 | 23 | | assigned to Big Bend Ranch State Park; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, The men and women who become Texas Park Police |

| 24 | 25 | | officers play an essential role in protecting our public lands and |

| 25 | 26 | | the members of the public who visit these popular attractions, and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | it is fitting that Brian Lillibridge's achievement in joining this |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
