| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Among the best-trained fish and wildlife |

| 9 | 10 | | conservation officers in the nation, the game wardens of the Texas |

| 10 | 11 | | Parks and Wildlife Department play a vital role in maintaining the |

| 11 | 12 | | sustainability of the state's native fauna, as well as the safety of |

| 12 | 13 | | hunting, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The TPWD Game Warden Training Center accepts only a |

| 14 | 15 | | fraction of the hundreds of people who apply for admission to its |

| 15 | 16 | | rigorous 30-week training course; those individuals who complete |

| 16 | 17 | | the program serve the people of Texas as commissioned peace |

| 17 | 18 | | officers; following his graduation, Mr. Sumbera will be assigned to |

| 18 | 19 | | Brewster and Presidio Counties; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The men and women who become Texas game wardens make |

| 20 | 21 | | a positive and lasting contribution to the vitality and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | environmental well-being of the Lone Star State, and it is fitting |

| 22 | 23 | | that Mr. Sumbera's achievement in joining this select group be |
