| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Trinidad Independent School District is making a |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Serving approximately 160 students, Trinidad ISD |

| 9 | 10 | | seeks to foster a challenging and supportive learning environment |

| 10 | 11 | | where young people are equipped to excel in every aspect of their |

| 11 | 12 | | education; among their many achievements, the district's students |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | have won a number of state championships, including titles in |

| 13 | 14 | | one-act play, six-man football, and academic competitions; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Trinidad ISD is ably guided by superintendent Corey |

| 15 | 16 | | Jenkins, and it also benefits from the leadership of its board of |

| 16 | 17 | | trustees, which includes president Eric Airheart, vice president |

| 17 | 18 | | Ricky Stanfield, secretary Stephanie Ramsey, and members Billy |

| 18 | 19 | | Hornbuckle, Mike Airheart, Bill Tart, and Dennis Parker; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and school |

| 20 | 21 | | board of Trinidad ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with |

| 21 | 22 | | the knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of |

| 22 | 23 | | society, and the district is indeed deserving of special |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
