| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Palmer Independent School District is making a |

| 7 | 8 | | with a solid educational foundation on which to build; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Serving more than 1,200 students, Palmer ISD seeks |

| 9 | 10 | | to foster a challenging and supportive learning environment where |

| 10 | 11 | | young people are equipped to excel in every aspect of their |

| 11 | 12 | | education; located in Ellis County, the district conducts classes |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | for prekindergarten through 12th grade at its three campuses and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | has an average teacher-to-student ratio of one to 14; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Palmer ISD is ably guided by superintendent Kevin |

| 15 | 16 | | Noack, and it also benefits from the leadership of its board of |

| 16 | 17 | | trustees, which includes president Christen Vick, vice president |

| 17 | 18 | | Kelley Cruzan, secretary Raul Medina Jr., and members Jeremy |

| 18 | 19 | | Robinson, Daniel McDonald, Gary Barnes, and Jeffery Greenlee; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and school |

| 20 | 21 | | board of Palmer ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with |

| 21 | 22 | | the knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of |

| 22 | 23 | | society, and the district is indeed deserving of special |

| 23 | 24 | | recognition for its significant contributions; now, therefore, be |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby honor the Palmer Independent School District for |
