| 7 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 61, Education Code, is |

| 9 | 11 | | amended by adding Section 61.07764 to read as follows: |

| 10 | 12 | | Sec. 61.07764. ANNUAL REPORT REGARDING STUDENT LOAN DATA. |
|---|
| 11 | 13 | | (a) The coordinating board shall include in its annual report on |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | financial aid in this state a breakdown of student loan data |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | disaggregated by race, ethnicity, sex, degree type, and enrollment |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | status, including whether the student has graduated. |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | (b) For the data reported under Subsection (a), the |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | coordinating board shall provide an explanation of any limitation |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | on the scope and accuracy of the data. |

| 18 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
