| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 313.032(c), Tax Code, is amended to read | |
| 12 | 12 | as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (c) The portion of the report described by Subsection (a)(2) | |
| 14 | 14 | must be based on data certified to the comptroller by each recipient | |
| 15 | 15 | or former recipient of a limitation on appraised value under this | |
| 16 | 16 | chapter. The recipient or former recipient shall contract with an | |
| 17 | 17 | independent certified public accountant to verify the data | |
| 18 | 18 | certified to the comptroller. The data may be verified using | |
| 19 | 19 | information from any reliable source, including the Texas Workforce | |
| 20 | 20 | Commission and the chief appraiser of the applicable appraisal | |
| 21 | 21 | district. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
