| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 3.01, Chapter 409, Acts of the 61st | |
| 11 | 11 | Legislature, Regular Session, 1969, is amended by adding Subsection | |
| 12 | 12 | (g) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (g) A development corporation created by the authority | |
| 14 | 14 | under Chapter 501, Local Government Code, may finance: | |
| 15 | 15 | (1) projects described by Subchapter C, Chapter 501, | |
| 16 | 16 | Local Government Code, located inside or outside this state; and | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) qualified improvements as defined by Section | |
| 18 | 18 | 399.002, Local Government Code, located inside or outside this | |
| 19 | 19 | state in the same manner and to the same extent as a municipality or | |
| 20 | 20 | county may do so under Chapter 399 of that code. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 22 | 22 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 23 | 23 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 24 | 24 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 25 | 25 | Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
