| 10 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 312.005(a), Tax Code, is amended to read |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | (a) The comptroller shall maintain a central registry of |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | reinvestment zones designated under this chapter and of ad valorem |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | tax abatement agreements executed under this chapter. The chief |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | appraiser of each appraisal district that appraises property for a |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | taxing unit that has designated a reinvestment zone or executed a |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | tax abatement agreement under this chapter shall deliver to the |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | comptroller before July 1 of the year following the year in which |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | the zone is designated or the agreement is executed a report |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | providing the following information: |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | (1) for a reinvestment zone, a general description of |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | the zone, including its size, the types of property located in it, |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | its duration, and the guidelines and criteria established for the |
|---|
| 25 | 27 | | reinvestment zone under Section 312.002, including subsequent |
|---|
| 26 | 28 | | amendments and modifications of the guidelines or criteria; |
|---|
| 27 | 29 | | (2) a copy of each tax abatement agreement to which a |
|---|
| 28 | 30 | | taxing unit that participates in the appraisal district is a party; |
|---|
| 29 | 31 | | [and] |
|---|
| 30 | 32 | | (3) the information described by Section |
|---|
| 31 | 33 | | 312.205(a)(1) in connection with each tax abatement agreement |
|---|
| 32 | 34 | | described by Subdivision (2) of this subsection; and |
|---|
| 33 | 35 | | (4) any other information required by the comptroller |
|---|
| 34 | 36 | | to administer this section [and Subchapter F, Chapter 111]. |

| 35 | 37 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
