| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 41.0052, Election Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (f) The governing body of a city may change the date on which | |
| 13 | 13 | it holds its general election for officers to the November uniform | |
| 14 | 14 | election date if the change is approved by at least two-thirds of | |
| 15 | 15 | the governing body. A change made under this section supersedes a | |
| 16 | 16 | city charter provision that requires a different general election | |
| 17 | 17 | date. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
