| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 25.2223(l), Government Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (l) The County Criminal Court No. 5 of Tarrant County and | |
| 13 | 13 | the County Criminal Court No. 6 of Tarrant County shall give | |
| 14 | 14 | preference to cases brought under Title 5, Penal Code, involving | |
| 15 | 15 | family violence as defined by Section 71.004, Family Code, and | |
| 16 | 16 | cases brought under Sections 25.07, 25.072, and 42.072, Penal Code. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
