| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 254.036, Election Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (g) In prescribing the format of a report filed under this | |
| 13 | 13 | chapter, including a report filed with an authority other than the | |
| 14 | 14 | commission under Subsection (a), the commission shall ensure that | |
| 15 | 15 | the report requires for political expenditures made with a credit | |
| 16 | 16 | card that: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) the expenditures be reported in a single itemized | |
| 18 | 18 | list; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) the list include, stated by credit card issuer: | |
| 20 | 20 | (A) the name of the credit card issuer; | |
| 21 | 21 | (B) the date and amount of each expenditure; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (C) the date the credit card issuer was repaid | |
| 23 | 23 | for the expenditure. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
