The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the enforcement of insurance laws, including laws governing the unauthorized business of insurance, and authorizing administrative penalties. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.Based on information provided by the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the amounts and timing of any new penalty revenue are unknown; therefore, the fiscal impact on the State cannot be determined.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
