The bill would amend Chapter 533 of the Government Code to require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to maintain an electronic directory of contact information for Medicaid recipients enrolled in a managed care plan. Medicaid managed care organizations and the enrollment broker would be required to update the directory in real time. This analysis assumes there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill that could be absorbed within current resources.
