8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 130.306, Education Code, is amended by | |
10 | 10 | amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (d) to read as | |
11 | 11 | follows: | |
12 | 12 | (b) Except as otherwise provided by this section | |
13 | 13 | [Subsection (a)], a public junior college offering a baccalaureate | |
14 | 14 | degree program under this subchapter may not offer more than three | |
15 | 15 | baccalaureate degree programs at any time. | |
16 | 16 | (d) At any time, the Alamo Community College District may not | |
17 | 17 | offer more than five baccalaureate degree programs under this | |
18 | 18 | subchapter. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a | |
20 | 20 | vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
