| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 31.455, Natural Resources Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (d) The land office shall consider any written proposal or | |
| 13 | 13 | recommendation the advisory board submits to the land office | |
| 14 | 14 | related to a duty assigned to the land office under this subchapter. | |
| 15 | 15 | If the land office declines to follow the proposal or | |
| 16 | 16 | recommendation, the land office shall provide to the advisory board | |
| 17 | 17 | a written explanation of the reasons for that decision. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
