| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 208, Labor Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 208.0225 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 208.0225. REQUEST FOR COPY OF CLAIM FILINGS. (a) The | |
| 13 | 13 | commission shall adopt and implement a procedure by which a | |
| 14 | 14 | claimant who has received a notice of an initial claim | |
| 15 | 15 | determination under Section 208.022 may request and promptly | |
| 16 | 16 | receive from the commission a copy of the claimant's filings in | |
| 17 | 17 | relation to the claim. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) The commission shall include in a prominent location on | |
| 19 | 19 | the commission's Internet website detailed information regarding | |
| 20 | 20 | how a claimant may submit a request under this section. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
