 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to pathways to assist students in transitioning from high
 school to postsecondary education in cybersecurity.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 61, Education Code, is
 amended by adding Section 61.09093 to read as follows:
 Sec. 61.09093.  CYBERSECURITY PATHWAYS. The board shall
 collaborate with the Texas Education Agency to develop pathways to
 assist students in transitioning from cybersecurity coursework or
 training in high school to a degree or certificate program in
 cybersecurity at an institution of higher education.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
