                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 5, 2021       TO: Honorable Brandon Creighton, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB420 by Miles (Relating to the participation of the medical school at the University of Houston and the college of osteopathic medicine at Sam Houston State University in the Joint Admission Medical Program.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would allow the medical school at the University of Houston and the college of osteopathic medicine at Sam Houston State University to participate in the Joint Admission Medical Program. Based on analysis of agency responses, it is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.
