| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 1502.055, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (d) Notwithstanding Subsection (a) or other law, a | |
| 13 | 13 | municipality is not required to hold an election to authorize the | |
| 14 | 14 | sale of a municipal retail water or sewer utility system if the | |
| 15 | 15 | governing body of the municipality finds by official action that a | |
| 16 | 16 | condition exists that justifies the sale. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
