46 AN ACT
57 relating to the expiration of a school marshal license issued or
68 renewed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
79 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
810 SECTION 1. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, is
911 amended to read as follows:
1012 (g) A person's license under this section expires on August
1113 31 following [the first birthday of the person occurring after] the
1214 second anniversary of the date the commission licenses the person.
1315 A renewed school marshal license expires on August 31 [the person's
1416 birth date], two years after the expiration of the previous
1517 license.
1618 SECTION 2. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, as
1719 amended by this Act, applies to a license issued or renewed under
1820 that section regardless of whether the license was issued or
1921 renewed before, on, or after the effective date of this Act.
2022 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
