The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to annual jail inspections conducted by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. The bill would also direct TCJS to hold an annual public meeting regarding the previous year's inspections. It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.
