55 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
66 AN ACT
77 relating to certain qualified residential rental assistance
88 projects financed by private activity bonds.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 1372.002(f), Government Code, is amended
1111 to read as follows:
1212 (f) Notwithstanding Subsection (c), an applicant to which
1313 this subsection applies may aggregate more than one qualified
1414 residential rental project into a single, combined project as part
1515 of the participation of the housing authority for the applicable
1616 municipality in:
1717 (1) the Rental Assistance Demonstration program
1818 administered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban
1919 Development, as specified by the Consolidated and Further
2020 Continuing Appropriations Act of 2012 (Pub. L. No. 112-55) and its
2121 subsequent amendments, if the combined project is related to the
2222 municipal housing authority's conversion of public housing units as
2323 permitted under that program; or
2424 (2) another program administered by the United States
2525 Department of Housing and Urban Development if the combined project
2626 is related to the purpose of the program.
2727 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2828 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2929 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
3030 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3131 Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
