| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | join the citizens of Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, and the |

| 4 | 4 | | surrounding communities in celebrating March 9, 2021, as the |

| 5 | 5 | | first Virtual Golden Triangle Legislative Day; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Golden Triangle Day in Austin was established in |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 2007 as a means for civic leaders from the Beaumont, Port Arthur, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and Orange chambers of commerce to combine their advocacy efforts |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | during sessions of the Texas Legislature; the unprecedented |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have led organizers of the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | event to adopt a virtual format; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Virtual Golden Triangle Legislative Day provides |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | an opportunity for citizens to build business relationships with |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | others throughout Southeast Texas and with state officials and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | agency directors; representatives from across the region are |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | participating in this important event; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The chambers of commerce are truly deserving of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | special recognition for their efforts to organize this event for |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the benefit of Southeast Texas families and businesses; now, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby extend best wishes for a successful and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | rewarding event to all those participating in the first Virtual |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Golden Triangle Legislative Day; and, be it further |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
